Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park
Are you ready to explore our Island? Just relax and we will travel to the beautiful island of Puerto Princess, Palawan. Palawan is located in the westernmost part of the archipelago. From the outside, it appears typically common and ordinary; but you will be amazed when you get inside the subterranean river.
You will see different forms of stalactites (hanging from the ceiling of the cave) and stalagmites (growing from the floor). Beautiful creation … !!
Isn’t this just amazing?
God is indeed awesome !! We are so thankful for his magnificent works which are amazing to behold and showing only a glimpes of what is to come for those who believe.
Thank you for joining me on our adventures at the beautiful Underground River. One of the Wonders of the World and most impressive cave, featuring spectacular limestone karst landscapes, pristine natural beauty and intact old-growth forest and distinctive wildlife.

Boracay Island
And then I realized adventure is the best way to learn and relax… and the only white on the ground that I want to see is sand!
I know you are excited to see and feel the turquoise water and white sands in one of the most beautiful beaches in the Philippines.
Are you ready to fly?
Let’s go!
From Manila, we can travel to the Province of Aklan (Kalibo or Caticlan) by riding an airplane within approximately 45 minutes. There are two airports in Aklan: The Kalibo International Airport and Godolfredo P. Ramos Airport, known as the Caticlan Airport. And more recently, the Boracay Airport.
I know your bags are packed and ready to go!
Welcome to the beautiful island of Boracay! It is a small island in the country located in Western Visayas around 196 miles south of Manila. This is one of the “top 10 destinations to watch” featured in 2016 magazine’s list (source: Wikipedia) and one of the top beaches in the country.
Boracay has two primary tourism beaches: the White Beach and the Bulabog Beach which are located on opposite sites of the island. White Beach is the main tourism beach attraction because of the magnificent and crystal water of it. It is about 4 kilometres long and is lined with resorts, hotels, lodging houses, restaurant and other tourism related businesses like souvenir shops, swim wear and outfit shops, and more.
I know you are excited to explore the beach! Make sure to wear your comfortable swim wear because we will start the most thriling water activities.
Want to try the parasailing? It is also known as paracending or parakiting. You will be riding on a colorfully designed canopy wing that resembles a parachute known as a parasail wing and towed by a motor boat at the middle of the ocean.
Exciting, right? You can be a superhero wearing different designs of capes!
After enjoying the air, I know you are excited to get wet and dive deep!
You can try the snorkel.
You can discover the underwater creatures in and around the colourful reefs. Enjoy swimming together with the different types of fishes , shells and other corals.
Want some more?
Let’s try the helmet diving. It is perfect for swimmers and non-swimmers like me.You can experience walking on the ocean floor while wearing a breathing helmet to discover the inner beauty of God’s creations, interact with them, and most especially, to appreciate them.
Are you still enjoying the water activities? You can also try the banana boat riding! Have fun!
And now it’s time to enjoy and feel the shore of white sands.
Henna tattoo and braided hair could be surprises after the long splashy activities!
While walking at the white sand bare-footed, you can experience the stunning sunset at the beach! That’s relaxing and rejuvenating.
At night, you can enjoy the seafoods and different traditional dishes and drinks served at the nearby restaurants.
I know that your travel would not be complete without your favorite … shopping for a souvenirs, right?
No matter what day you choose, there is no doubt that Boracay is going to give you a one-of-a-kind experience and a precious time of your life.
Hope you can create new memories in Boracay, too!
Traditional Filipino Food
I love fruit… Let me guess? I’m sure that you love fruit, too.
Did you know that Mangoes are the national fruit of the Philippines? Do you know why it is so famous in our country? Because mango has a golden yellow skin that signifies richness. It is almost heart-shaped which symbolizes a very important part of the human anatomy. Succulent, yummy, sweet and nutritious: these are just some of the words to describe our mangoes.
We, Filipinos, love to eat green unripe mangoes, too. We enjoy dipping them in rock salt or in spicy shrimp paste ( that we call bagoong in Tagalog, our local language).
Here is a trivia about our mangoes: in 1995 the Guinness Book of World Records listed the carabao mango variety as the sweetest fruit in the world (source: Wikipedia). I know you are excited to taste it. So, come on and try it!
Let’s now visit the Western part of the Philippines in Guimaras. It is a small Island province of the Western region of the archipelago. Its mangoes have been famous for being served at the White House in the United States of America and at Buckingham Palace in London, United Kingdom, because of their sweetness and intense flavor.
Are you craving for more? Aside from juice and other delicacies, Filipinos are also great in preparing different dishes using mangoes. You can try our fresh sushi with a mango twist and a fruit salad served in a coconut shell. This is so delicious [masarap in Tagalog, our local language] !!
I know you are excited to taste some of our local food, right?
One of the greatest gifts that the country is endowed with are the sea creatures. As an island nation, we are blessed to enjoy different kinds of seafood : crabs, lobsters, fish and sea weeds are truly fantastic !
Try our juicy, sweet and big big shrimp , we call it “sugpô” in Tagalog.
Hmmm. Crave for more… This is our king crab. So yummy!
And for your final taste … save it for last! Our so delicious and mouth-watering lobsters, clams, fish and sea weeds.
Remember that a happy tummy makes your adventure more exciting and thrilling. And full-filling !!
